Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Fight For Freedom has been delivering hundreds of thousands of pounds of food into Ukraine, often to front-line places with no other relief agencies present.  In March of this year we launched a new Food Voucher Program, in partnership with ATB, a Ukrainian grocery chain. Through Fight for Freedom Ukraine we distribute food vouchers and provide other vital services to Ukrainian victims of the war, including widows, families who have had their homes destroyed, and other internally-displaced persons facing newfound poverty.  The program reaches cities all over Ukraine, where conditions are the harshest and the largest populations of internally displaced people reside.

 

The Voucher Distribution project, initiated in March of this year in collaboration with ATB, a Ukrainian grocery chain, has been a significant endeavor aimed at assisting vulnerable populations across various regions. Over the course of its implementation, the project has made a profound impact on communities in eight cities: Irpin, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kamianets'-Podilskyi, Cherkasy, Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv. Our team distributed nearly 8,000 vouchers, and the project has reached out to those in dire need, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), large families, widows, disabled individuals, and single parents. 4 of the distributions were held inside churches allowing people to hear about the love of God as they waited to receive the vouchers. For many families, it meant more than just groceries; it symbolized a glimmer of normalcy restored, a promise of sustenance and joy. Next month the team plans on taking on a 9th location in Mykolaiv.
